A New Series - For Smart Businesses Who Must Think "Out-Of-The-Box" To Grow And Thrive In The COVID New World
The next few months will be filled with uncertainty. We can only act pragmatically in regards to our health, well being, and business. Heck, I can even use a feature in my weather mobile app to track the contagion count of the new COVID-19 status.
But from a marketing, business, and career perspective, you can make a change. Some have more time now (sadly), so use your time to your advantage. Put in the individual effort so you can grow; that way, you’ll come out of the Coronavirus stronger.
The first thing to remember is to review and update your Digital Foundation. Create consistency with Website, Social Media, Email Customer List, Customer phone numbers (for potential Text outreach), Google My Business, Yelp for Business (or Vertical Market Listing), Yellow Pages (YP), with prominent announcements that reflect your present business status and any information for preparation to return to our COVID NEW WORLD.
As we navigate what we know, marketing efforts no matter Corporate America or Main Street must work externally to keep their business and customer journeys simple, while working internally to do three things:
1. Understand and have compassion about the impact of personal and business stoppage and continue to adapt to the unexpected.
2. Lean into digital ways of working and connecting with customers, knowing that this will likely have lasting effects.
3. Mitigate risks to the customer experience by thinking realistically from the outside-in.
Undeniably, there is a forced acceleration of the move to the digital agenda as we recognize how quickly customers and employees have embraced digitally-enabled journeys and experiences.
Corporate Brands and local businesses all having to think, operate, and lead in new ways during these uncertain and extraordinary circumstances, and we will all have to learn together with both confidence and humility.

The COVID-19 pandemic has forced us all to drastically change our behaviors. As we recover, what will this mean for the mobility?
As the COVID-19 crisis continues to develop, here are some quick tips, ideas, and inspiration about ways we can all support one another through this uncertain time, both locally and nationally.
✓ Donate blood. There is a severe blood shortage due to an unprecedented number of blood drive cancellations during this pandemic. Host a blood drive or give blood.
✓ Share canned foods. Donate canned foods to those in your community who are struggling to afford groceries as well as those that are immunocompromised and unable to shop in grocery stores.
✓ Donate to organizations providing resources for others affected by COVID-19, if you have the resources. Consider giving to your local and national disaster relief partners as well as organizations that support those who are facing food insecurity.
